The short answer
A professional mobile car wash in London usually lands somewhere between £35 and £75 for a standard car, depending on whether it is exterior only, interior only, or both. Bigger jobs such as full valets and details run from around £100 up to a few hundred pounds. At Yikes our prices are fixed and published in the booking app, so the number you see when you book is the number you pay.
Below is exactly how our pricing works, what moves the price up or down, and where the money goes when someone washes your car properly at your kerb.
Current Yikes prices
These are our live standard prices at the time of writing, with the Members Club price in brackets. The booking app always shows the current figures.
- Essential Exterior, wash, dry and shine: £40 (£33 for members)
- Essential Interior, vacuum and glass: £49 (£39)
- Essential Inside & Out: £67 (£49)
- Deluxe Inside & Out, exterior valet plus interior vac and plastics: £71 (£56)
- Exterior Detail with decontamination, clay and spray wax: £99 (£78)
- Full Interior Detail, shampoo, steam and protect: £130 (£106)
- Super Valet inside and out: £195 (£156)
- Ceramic Coating with 2 year protection: £270 (£216)
Sizes adjust the price slightly: small cars come in a little under the listed figure and large SUVs a little over, and the app works that out for you before you commit.
What actually changes the price
Interior condition
Interiors are where quotes vary most, at Yikes and everywhere else. Pet hair, sand, dried mud and food spills take real time to shift, which is why pet hair removal and seat shampooing are priced as add-ons rather than hidden inside every wash. You only pay for them when your car needs them.
How long since the last proper wash
A car washed every few weeks holds its finish and cleans quickly. A car left for six months carries bonded grime that needs more product and more time. If a car is genuinely far gone we say so before starting rather than rushing a job we would not put our name to.
Where the car is parked
For us, nowhere in our coverage area costs extra. Because we arrive by cargo e-bike with our own water and power, a permit street in Islington costs the same as a driveway in Southgate. There is no congestion charge or parking cost quietly folded into your price.
Why mobile washing costs more than a £7 hand car wash
A drive-through hand car wash splits one crew across dozens of cars an hour. A mobile wash sends a trained person to your car for an hour or more with professional products, and the price carries that time. What you get back is your own hour, no queue, and a wash done slowly enough to be done properly, with a method that uses roughly 30 litres of water instead of the 150 plus litres a traditional wash gets through.
How to pay less per wash
- The Members Club is £18 a year and switches every wash to the member price, adds a free spray wax each visit, and includes one free Essential wash each membership year. It pays for itself on the first booking or two.
- Prepaid wash bundles cut the per-wash cost further if you wash regularly. Current bundles are shown in the booking app.
- Regularity itself saves money: a car washed monthly rarely needs the extra dirty fee or heavy correction work.
FAQ
Do you charge to travel to me?
No. If your postcode is covered in the booking app, the price shown is the whole price.
Is there a card surcharge or tipping expectation?
No surcharge, and tips are never expected. You can pay by card online or card and cash on the day.
Why does my SUV cost more than my neighbour''s hatchback?
Surface area and time. A large SUV carries half as much again of paint and glass as a small hatchback, and the price scales gently to reflect that.
Do prices differ between London, Cardiff and Southampton?
No, the same published prices apply everywhere we operate.
Ready for a wash without leaving home?
We ride to you by cargo e-bike and wash your car where it is parked. Live prices and slots are in the booking app.
