Yikes started with a simple idea. Cleaning a car should not mean driving it somewhere, queuing, or letting a diesel van idle outside your house. So we put the whole thing on a cargo e-bike and brought it to your street instead.
Book your washWe launched in 2023 from a base in north London with one bike, one operator and a belief that mobile car care could be cleaner, quieter and more convenient than anything else on the road. The response was immediate. Within months we were riding to streets right across the city.
A van burns fuel on every single trip to a customer. Multiply that across a busy day and a mobile car wash quietly becomes one of the more polluting things on the road. Our cargo e-bike carries water, power and all our equipment, produces zero emissions getting to you, slips through London traffic, and parks right beside your car. No fumes, no blocked road, no waiting.
Our wash technique uses around a quarter of the water a typical mobile competitor gets through. We bring our own supply, so you never need a tap, a hose or any outdoor access. Less water, no emissions, and a finish that holds up.
Today Yikes cleans cars for more than 1,500 customers across London, with operators serving every borough, plus Cardiff and Southampton. We run on a local operator model, which keeps service personal and rounds tight, so the person who cleans your car actually knows your street.
