Wash, valet, detail, or deep clean?

The words get used interchangeably, so here is how we use them. A wash keeps a clean car clean. A valet gets a lived-in car properly clean, inside and out, at the surfaces you see and touch. A detail improves the car itself, correcting and protecting the paint. The deep clean is different again: it is for the car that has been let go, and it reaches the places the other services are not priced to reach.

What £268 buys, stage by stage

First the inside is emptied and stripped back: mats and boot liners out, seats moved through their full travel, and every hidden run of carpet exposed. Carpets and cloth get shampoo and hot extraction rather than a surface wipe, leather gets cleaned and fed, and steam goes into the vents, seals and switchgear where a cloth cannot. Then the outside: a decontamination wash that pulls out bonded traffic film and fallout the mitt slides over, wheels and arches done properly, door shuts and fuel flap cleaned, and a protective finish applied so the result lasts. Glass is finished inside and out last, because it shows every shortcut.

What to expect, honestly

What is the difference between a deep clean and a valet?
A valet cleans what you can see and touch. The deep clean goes after what a valet leaves behind: extraction deep in the carpets, steam into vents and seals, decontamination of the paint, and the hidden areas like seat runners, boot underfloor and door shuts. It is the reset button, not the maintenance wash.
How long does the Deep Clean Detail take?
Most cars take four to six hours. A large SUV that has gone years without attention can take longer; we agree the plan with you before starting.
Can you do it on the street outside my house?
Yes. The cargo e-bike carries water and power, so the full job happens wherever the car is parked: kerbside, permit bay or your drive.
Will a deep clean remove every stain and mark?
Most of them, and the car will be transformed either way. What honest experience makes us say out loud: dye transfer on light leather, years-old sun fading and deeply etched water marks sometimes improve rather than vanish. We point out anything like that before we start.
Is a deep clean worth it before selling a car?
