Yikes Car Wash is a mobile car wash founded in 2023. We cover Southampton and its suburbs, plus the rest of London, Cardiff and Southampton. A rider comes to your car by cargo e-bike, zero emissions on the journey, and washes it right where it is parked using about a quarter of the water of a typical mobile wash. Areas we cover
The Yikes model is simple everywhere we operate: you book a window online, we come to the car, and it gets a careful hand wash exactly where it is parked, home, street or work car park. No queue at a hand wash, no drive across town, no waiting room.
It is the eco version of the job too: the method uses about a quarter of the water of a typical mobile wash, and the whole company was founded in 2023 around low-impact cleaning, from the water carried to each job to the zero-emission cargo e-bikes our London crews ride.
Southampton paintwork fights the coast: salt in the air accelerates corrosion anywhere paint is chipped, the gull population is famously generous, and the M27 and city traffic lay down the usual film of brake dust and grime. Regular gentle hand washing, with the interior refreshed in the same visit, is the affordable defence.
