The Square Mile has almost no car washes and almost nowhere to park, which makes the maths simple: if your car lives at the Barbican, under an office tower or in a residents' bay off Smithfield, the wash has to come to you. Yikes Car Wash is a mobile car wash founded in 2023. We cover the City of London, EC1 to EC4, plus the rest of London, Cardiff and Southampton. A rider comes to your car by cargo e-bike, zero emissions on the journey, and washes it right where it is parked using about a quarter of the water of a typical mobile wash. Areas we cover
City parking is underground, gated or metered, and a valeting van cannot work with any of it. A cargo e-bike can: it reaches Barbican podium parking, building car parks with access arranged, and the residents' bays on the Clerkenwell and Smithfield fringes, producing zero emissions on the journey.
Most City bookings happen while you work: confirm access, hand over nothing, and collect a clean car at the end of the day with the interior done in the same visit if you asked for it.
Cars kept in the Square Mile wear construction dust, brake-dust film from the traffic canyons, and the concentrated output of the City's pigeon population. Underground cars swap sunlight damage for dust and scuffs. Either way, a regular gentle hand wash keeps the finish from dulling permanently.
