A rider comes to your car by cargo e-bike, zero emissions on the journey, and washes it right where it is parked using about a quarter of the water of a typical mobile wash. The Georgian squares of Barnsbury and Canonbury are some of the most tightly parked streets in London, and the CPZ runs long hours. Driving from Thornhill Square to a car wash and back can cost you an hour of circling; booking Yikes to the square costs you nothing but the booking.
Our riders pass through Angel constantly, it is on the direct route from the N19 base to the City, so N1 availability is strong. The bike parks where a van never could, the wash uses about a quarter of the water of a typical mobile wash, and payment is by card link when the job is done.
The squares are lined with mature planes, which means sap on windscreens from May and pigeon mess year-round. Down towards City Road and the basin, traffic film builds instead: a grey haze of brake dust and diesel soot that dulls paint within weeks. Both are routine work for a gentle hand wash caught early.
