The High Road is one of the busiest bus corridors in north London, and all that stop-start traffic leaves a film of brake dust and grime on every car parked near it. Up the hill, Alexandra Palace parking swaps grime for tree sap and bird mess. Either way, N22 paintwork earns its washes.
Rather than fight the gyratory to reach a car wash, book the wash to the car. A cargo e-bike arrives at your bay in Noel Park or Bowes Park, fully self-contained, and washes with about a quarter of the water of a typical mobile wash. Zero emissions door to door.
Noel Park's conservation-area terraces sit close to the High Road, so cars there grey over with traffic film faster than the suburbs. The Palace side gets the opposite: mature trees along the park approaches drip sap and host pigeons all year. Both are quick fixes for a regular gentle hand wash and slow, expensive fixes once etched.
