Home / Locations / West London and Heathrow / Hillingdon / Fleet and van washing
More goods pass through Hillingdon than through any other London borough, and most of them finish their journey in a van. The freight terminal at Heathrow, the sheds along the Bath Road, the distribution yards of Hayes and West Drayton, the offices at Stockley Park and the trades that keep 109,000 households running all put white vans on the road with a name on the side, and the name is only as good as the van is clean. Yikes washes them in the yard, at the depot gate, in the office car park or on the driver's own drive, through vetted local washers from the Yikes Network who bring water and power and do the whole list in one visit.

What is included
Van by van
The airside and freight van. Europe's busiest airport in 2025 never stops, and the vans that work its freight terminal and the sheds along the Bath Road, the A4 and Shepiston Lane come off every shift wearing the approach's oily film. It is greasy, not gritty, and it bonds to white paint within a fortnight. The Deluxe Exterior every two weeks, with the deeper wheel and arch clean, keeps the livery legible all year; the cab gets the Essential Inside & Out every other visit.
The hotel and airport shuttle. Guests sit in it, so it is washed inside and out weekly, Essential Inside & Out, with the glass done properly because the passengers look through it.
The Stockley Park pool car and company van. Washed monthly in a marked area of the estate's car parks with the occupier's permission, Essential Inside & Out, with the inside glass finished for the drivers who share them.
The site van. Yiewsley has 433 homes going up on the Rainbow and Kirby estate and 95 council homes with a library at Otterfield Road; Hayes has the last phase of the Old Vinyl Factory and the 1,300 homes of Hayes Village. Site vans carry cement dust in the air and mud at the gate, and the Deluxe Exterior every fortnight lifts both out of the arches before they set. A compound with no tap is no problem.
The sole trader's van on the drive. Ruislip Manor, Hillingdon, Ickenham and Eastcote are semis and drives, and the plumber's van parks on one. The driver books it like any other wash, the business pays, and the photographs land on the phone that booked. The ULEZ has covered the borough since 2023, and a van washed on its own drive has not crossed anything.
The booking
Whoever runs the vans does the booking. The yard's postcode goes in first and the page checks that a Network washer covers it. Each van is then added by size, a window is picked, and one payment covers the lot; a long wheelbase takes longer than a small van and is priced accordingly, with every size shown before the card goes in. On the day the washer arrives with their own water and power, works down the list, and photographs each van before and after. The receipt names every vehicle, which is what the bookkeeper wants; the wash report holds the photographs, which is what settles the argument about the dent.
Under the approach the fortnightly outside wash is a year round habit. Elsewhere in the borough it is monthly in summer and fortnightly from November to March, when the gritters are out on the A40 and the A4. A standing plan across several yards is on the fleet page; a single van is simply booked. Since the clocks went back on 25 October the 10am window is the one that has the fleet done before the afternoon runs.
