Home / Locations / Medway and North Kent / Fleet and van washing
The van is the first thing a North Kent customer sees, usually from the kitchen window as it pulls up. Yikes keeps it clean where it parks, whether that is a yard by the Dartford Crossing, a site compound at Ebbsfleet, a depot in Sittingbourne or the driver's own drive in a Downs village, through vetted local washers from the Yikes Network who bring water and power and work through every vehicle in one visit. The Medway City Estate and the Medway towns have their own page. This one is the rest of the region, yard by yard.

What is included
Yard by yard
The logistics end of the region. Vans here cross the river for a living, at £4.20 a time for a two axle van between 6am and 10pm, and come back with the M25's brake dust baked onto white paint. Bluewater's quarry and the chalk of Stone add the dust. A yard wash every fortnight, cabs monthly, and the 10am window so the vans are done before the drivers return.
The building end. Ebbsfleet Garden City is past 5,000 homes with the next Ashmere phase of 228 due to start in December 2026, and the Lower Thames Crossing's early works have been under way since March around Gravesend and Shorne. Site vans here live in mud at the gate and cement dust in the air, and the Deluxe Exterior, with its deeper wheel and arch clean, is the right fortnightly wash rather than the Essential.
Trade and distribution along the A2 and the A249, with the Swale's salt air on top. A monthly Essential Inside & Out for the cabs keeps the drivers happy; a fortnightly outside wash through the gritting season keeps the liveries legible.
The county town's trades and the M20 corridor. Vans on drives in Larkfield, Snodland and Aylesford are the sole trader pattern: the driver books it like any other wash, the business pays, and the photographs go to the phone that booked.
The lanes. A trade van that works the Kent Downs villages takes mud, sap and chalk in turn, and the arches fill with the countryside. Deluxe Exterior monthly, Essential Exterior in between, and a Super Valet before the quote that matters.
How it works here
Whoever runs the vans books them. On the booking page, type the yard's postcode, add each vehicle with its size, pick the window, and pay once; the washer arrives with water and power, so a compound with neither is fine, and works through the list, photographing each van before and after. Larger vehicles take longer and cost a little more, and the price for each size shows before you pay. A receipt per booking lists every vehicle, which is what the accountant wants, and the wash report holds the photographs, which is what the fleet manager wants when a driver says the van was already scratched.
Kent's gritters cover every A and B road from late October to mid April, so the fortnightly outside wash is a six month habit, not a one off. For a standing arrangement across several yards, the fleet page explains how a plan works. For one van, just book it.
