Hampstead's lanes were laid out for horses, not hatchbacks: the Village, Flask Walk, the streets down to South End Green and Belsize Park are tight, steep and permit-controlled. Yikes washes cars exactly where they are parked, which in NW3 is the only sensible place to wash them.
Book your washAt a glance
Yikes Car Wash is a mobile car wash founded in 2023. We cover Hampstead Village, Belsize Park and South End Green, NW3, plus the rest of London, Cardiff and Southampton. A rider comes to your car by cargo e-bike, zero emissions on the journey, and washes it right where it is parked using about a quarter of the water of a typical mobile wash. Prices are fixed and start from £49 for the Essential Inside & Out. Book online at yikescarwash.co.uk/book-online or call 07932 124870.
Areas we cover
A van cannot idle on Flask Walk and nobody surrenders a Frognal permit space voluntarily. The cargo e-bike changes the equation: it reaches a mews, a lane or a residents' bay without blocking anything, carries every drop of water needed, and leaves with zero emissions for the whole visit.
The wash itself is gentle by design, fresh water and clean mitts rather than recycled rollers, which suits the cars NW3 tends to park. The method uses about a quarter of the water of a typical mobile wash, so lanes and mews stay dry.
Eight hundred acres of Heath means eight hundred acres of trees, birds and pollen right against the Village. Cars near the Heath collect sap, honeydew and bird mess faster than almost anywhere in London, and the steep lanes add brake dust to front wheels. Caught weekly or fortnightly with a gentle wash, none of it lasts long enough to etch.

Every price is a fixed final total, shown before you pay. The Members Club is £18 a year and takes 20 percent off every wash. Full list on the services and prices page.
